Last night I had a late evening supper in The Flask. Our waitress Alice was very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and professional. This pub has a very spacious dining area, really great. While it is crowded on a weekend there is still plenty of room between the tables, a rare experience on a busy evening in many pub restaurants. Good quality food at a reasonable price.

Absolutely superb Sunday lunch at The Flask! We enjoyed yet another wonderful Sunday lunch at our favourite pub restaurant, The Flask, and it was outstanding from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of character – exactly what you want for a relaxed Sunday meal. The Sunday lunch is truly fantastic, and the chicken lunch deserves a special mention. It was perfectly cooked, incredibly flavoursome, and served with all the classic trimmings, each one done beautifully. Generous portions, excellent quality, and real attention to detail made it an absolute joy. Friendly, attentive service and consistently brilliant food make The Flask a real gem. It never disappoints and is hands down one of the best places for Sunday lunch. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Amazing Sunday roast dinner. I had the beef and it was up there with the best I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Very good Young's pub just around the corner from Hampstead Underground Station. Three cask beers on handpump when I last visited. Separate public and lounge bars. Lots of outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Came here with a friend to try a roast dinner and their sticky toffee pudding and it was absolutely amazing! We tried the roast pork and the roast beef and both were delicious. Jacob was especially attentive throughout our dining experience and we were very impressed with his helpfulness!

🚇 Hampstead 🍺 £6.45 Pravha The Flask sits on a narrow lane in one of Hampstead’s most atmospheric streets. The nearest Tube is Hampstead. The pub dates back to the 1700s and was originally known as The Flask Tavern, though locals called it The Thatched House due to its roof. The name comes from bottling and selling local mineral water that sold for 3d per flask. Rebuilt in 1874, it is now Grade II listed. The architecture is superb, with yellow stock bricks and pilasters lined with glazed Victorian tiles. It is owned and run by Young’s Brewery, who have operated it since 1904. This is a two-bar, multi-room pub that has kept many original features. The Public Bar is on the left and the Saloon Bar on the right, with the gorgeous servery straddling each bar. Both bars have an old-world Victorian charm, with ornate cast-iron fireplaces, comfortable seating, tiled dadoes, and moulded cornices. A standout feature is the mahogany partition bearing chromolithographs of paintings by Belgian artist Jan Van Beers (great name). Towards the back are two adjoining rooms with traditional furniture, set aside for dining. The rear room is bright and airy thanks to the atrium above, with a hatch to the kitchen below. The beer selection mixes well-known brands, independent brews, and three cask ales. I chose a Pravha; my pint was great, price point was slightly above average. Food is hearty pub fare—fish and chips is £19.50, and roasts take centre stage on Sundays. I arrived at 11 a.m. on a fresh November morning. The pub had just opened, and I was soon joined by a couple exploring the area and a local chap in for a swift pint. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed, set to an excellent soundtrack. Service was top drawer—the two team members were welcoming, friendly, and lovely natured. Exploring Hampstead is always a pleasure, and visiting The Flask only adds to it. The Dickensian setting, marvellous decor, ye olde London character, solid beer line-up, and warm hospitality ma

We had such a lovely experience at The Flask. Kay took care of us and made everything feel easy and welcoming from the start. She was attentive, always with a warm and natural approach that made us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but what really stood out was the service. Kay has that rare balance of professionalism and genuine kindness that elevates the whole experience. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We’ll definitely be back.

Our walking group visited The Flask, on a Monday lunchtime, at the end of our hike from Highgate to Hampstead. We were delighted that we chose this pub. It is a quaint old pub in the heart of Hampstead serving a variety of drinks including a range of Young's ales. It has 2 bars serviced by 2 entrances and a conservatory at the rear. The food was superb and the service excellent. We were able to order food and drink from our table and the waitresses ensured that we always had enough to eat and drink. The decor and lighting added a soothing relaxing ambience. We will definitely visit The Flask again when we are in the Hampstead area and will recommend it to family and friends.

Delightful pub, tucked away near Hampsted heath. Charming decor, clean and tidy bar area and toilets. Nice outdoor seating areas. Excellent menu, food well presented and produced in a timely manor. This place is a must for anybody in the area looking for refreshing drinks and, or tasty food. Good value for money. I recommend.
